Hi everyone,
Here's a quick and dirty update on what I was thinking for my shot. Please let me know what you think. I'll just be setting the scene, but I just want to make sure I'm going the right path before I'm too deep in the blocking.
Scenario 1
Scenario 2
Thanks! Hope this was clear!
Hi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI think I like your Scenario 1 best. I think there is some opportunity for a bit of comedy in the man's look behind the chair (your 3rd thumbnail), maybe just showing his eyes and brows or something.
Maybe that's just me, but I like the payoff of seeing him from the kid's point of view during the shot. :) Hope that helps!
Thanks Jamie! appreciate the ideas and your opinion :)
DeleteScenario 1 was my gut feeling, but wanted to make sure with you guys, so thanks for the confirmation!

Hi Jenny! I too like the 1st one. It's more of a payoff to see the kids' reaction as well as the old mans. It'll be a little more work and hopefully it'll be within the time limits, but I thnk it'll work. Will be fun to see where you take it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen, yea I'm concerned about the frame length too, but I'll make it work somehow...
DeleteI was thinking scenario 1 too, but it's good to know that others agree :)

Hi Jenny, Thanks for posting. I like the 1st one too. You probably don't need to show the hand holding the airplane if you're going to show the kid in a new shot. Looking forward to your next pass!

Good point about the plane with the hand, I guess it would've been pretty repetitive.
DeleteI was thinking Scenario 1 too, so I'm glad I'm on the right path. Thanks so much for letting me know!
